| A new species of Pycnogonida, Anoplodactylus ophiurophilus, is described. It is associated with three species of the genus Ophiocoma in the Seychelles (Indian Ocean) and constitutes the first recorded case of a sea spider found on Ophiuroidea. In comparison with the 83 species actually recognized in Anoplodactylus, the new species shows hardly any morphological adaptations due to this remarkable association. |

| The law of judicial remedies deals with the nature and scope of relief afforded a plaintiff following appropriate court procedures and after establishment of a substantive right. These remedies usually fall in one of four categories: (1) damages, (2) restitution, (3) coercion and (4) declaration. This presentation will deal principally with the damages remedy, but a few thoughts regarding the use of a restitutionary remedy are introduced toward the end of these remarks. |

| Durante o ano agrícola de 1977/78 foi conduzida uma pesquisa a campo na região da Depressão Central do Rio Grande do Sul, com o objetivo de estabelecer a dose e a época de aplicação do herbicida diclofop que proporcionassem controle mais eficiente do Papua e que oferecessem maior seletividade à cultura. Os tratamentos constaram de combinações das doses de 720, 1080 e 1440 g/ha de diclofop, e aplicações em pré-plantio incorporadas a o solo (PPI), pré-emergência (PRE), pós-emergência quando as plântulas de papuã se apresentavam com duas folhas (POS-2) e outra na ocasião em que se encontravam no estádio de quatro folhas (POS-4), as quais foram comparadas às testemunhas com papuã durante o ciclo da soja (TCP) e sem papuã (TSP). | This appendix lists all persons who can be considered to belong or to have belonged to the scientific staff, from 1829 till now. Honorary collaborators are included, if their appointment was more or less official (this is sometimes not quite clear, however). Also included are the staff-members not paid by the university but by private foundations, by official bodies like the Netherlands Organization for the Advancement of Pure Research (Z.W.O.), etc. Student-assistants are not included. Technicalities of ranks and promotions have been omitted. Biographical data have been kept at a minimum, for many persons more material is available in the ‘Personalia’ file at the Rijksherbarium. |

| It is not possible to give a list of all publications which have emanated from the Rijksherbarium in the course of one and a half centuries. At least from 1933 onwards the annual director’s reports (see p. 133) contain complete lists of publications by staff, unofficial collaborators, and students. In the present appendix four lists are given: books, serials, doctor’s theses, papers on the institute. A large proportion of the scientific output, viz. the papers published in journals, have consequently not been mentioned although some of them are more voluminous than many books. Not mentioned either are the reports written by students. |

Jusqu'ici cependant, la mesure de "faibles concentrations" a été moins développée du fait de l'impossibilité de mesurer des intensités de fluorescence à partir de solutions tampon vis-à-vis de l'effet de matrice. |

| Two main conditions are necessary for the extensive culture of king scallop: 1.The getting of spats, 2.A good survival rate for these spats in their natural environment. These two criteria enable the definition of the technical standards giving way to an economic analysis. Until now, the only solution to a juvenile production is their collection in their natural environment, on high adult density deposits. At the time being, out of all the French deposits, that of Saint-Brieuc is the only one answering this characteristic. However, even in this case, spat collection has not yet reached the necessary reliability. Indeed, the amount of spat collected for a year will rely on two main factors: 1.The state of the brood stock, 2.The climatic conditions. |

| Resumo Através de levantamentos entre janeiro e abril de 1978, com toda a população de Durdanelos (Aripuanã-MT) a caça abatida na área foi determinada. As queixadas (Tayassu pecari), as antas (Tapirus terrestris) e os caititus (Tayassu tajacu) representaram 89% dos 8857 kg de caça abatida neste período. A carne de caça representou uma importante fonte adicional de proteínas e estava presente em 19% das refeições. Os principais métodos de caça na área são descritos e a necessidade de conservação da fauna na região discutida. |
